Tom's Helper ("we", "us") is an AI website builder run by Tom Will Help. This page explains what information we collect, why, and who sees it.

What we collect

Account details: your email address and a scrambled (hashed) version of your password. We cannot see your actual password.
Your websites: the sites the AI builds for you are saved so you can come back, change them and download them. We do not keep a server-side copy of your chat messages; they are used to produce the AI's replies and builds, as described below.
Usage and billing records: how many credits you have, what you used them on, and your purchase history.
Help requests: if you ask us to set up your site, the note and contact details you send us.
Abuse protection: a scrambled (hashed) version of your network address, used only to limit mass sign-ups. We do not store your raw IP address for this.

How the AI uses your information

To answer you and build your site, what you type in the chat is sent to Anthropic, the company that makes the Claude AI models. Anthropic processes it to produce a reply. Please do not put sensitive personal information (such as card numbers, passwords or government ID numbers) into the chat. Anthropic's handling of that data is described in its own privacy policy.

Payments

Payments are handled by Square. Your card details go directly to Square and are never seen or stored by us. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded and the amount.

What we do not do

We do not sell your information.
We do not show ads or share your information with advertisers.
We do not use your websites or chats to market to other people.

Who can see your information

Only us, and the service providers that make the product work: Cloudflare (hosting and database), Anthropic (the AI) and Square (payments). We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect the service from abuse.

Cookies and storage

We keep you signed in using a session token stored in your browser. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Keeping and deleting your data

We keep your account and websites until you ask us to delete them. To delete your account and everything saved with it, email us at the address below and we will remove it, except for payment records we are required to keep.

Children

Tom's Helper is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.
